Three new mini tools: Sheet Music Player, Fretboard Studio and Drum Studio

What is new

Our tools page now has three tools that we built for our own lessons and that anyone can use. Free, no sign-up, no ads.

Sheet Music Player. Load your own Guitar Pro or MusicXML file and practise with a loop, a metronome and a slower tempo. There is tablature for guitar and bass. The file stays on your device; nothing is uploaded or stored.

Fretboard Studio. Tap the fretboard: 12 scales and modes, chords with shapes, and your own shapes placed freely. Notation, tablature and sound appear underneath straight away. For guitar, Drop D and bass.

Drum Studio. Tap grooves and rudiments into the grid, from rock and disco to the paradiddle, in 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 7/8 or 5/4. Real drum notation appears underneath, and you can listen to it.

Why we built this

The most important part is easy to miss: the link carries every setting you made. A teacher builds an exercise, sends the link, and the student opens exactly that exercise at home, with that tempo and that loop. Or prints it as a PDF.

That removes an old problem: between two lessons, students often no longer remember exactly what they were meant to practise. A link that is the assignment itself leaves little room for that.
